Northwest Gourmet Foods is built on owner Paul Gilroy's 40 years of experience in the food business. The spark was lit when Paul was 12 years old and his father brought him to the food plant where he was working with BBQ sauce. Later it seemed natural to follow his father into the food business.

When Paul joined a local food processing company in 1996, he started a mayonnaise, dressing and sauce division from scratch. After growing the division for 10 years, Paul decided he was ready to start his own company, so he launched Northwest Gourmet Foods.

As the company continued to grow, Paul's children came to work beside him. Over the years, to expand the company's offerings, Northwest Gourmet purchased another Seattle based company, Royal Pantry Foods, and later purchased two popular retail brands, Skippers and Marina. In 2018, Northwest Gourmet began making soups, chowders and gravy after the local demand became apparent. After co-packing Johnny's Fine Foods' dressings, sauces and marinades for many years, as of 2023, Northwest Gourmet now owns exclusive rights to manufacture the brand within this category on their behalf.

Today, the Gilroy family, along with a team of dedicated employees, look forward to producing quality foods for generations to come.
